How “green” is your iPad 2?

Many of us love our iPads! As an eco-friendly, tree-hugging green person, I wonder, is my iPad 2 environmentally friendly? What impact does the iPad 2 have on the environment? Apple wants us all to know! Here are some highlights from the Apple report on the iPad 2:

 

  • iPad 2 retail packaging uses 51% less material than original iPad
  • 38% more iPad 2′s fit in a shipping container than original iPads
  • Mercury free LED display in iPad 2
  • Recyclable aluminum and glass enclosure
  • The iPad 2 is PVC free
